Meeting on 4 Year Plan and Budget
The chairperson and I attended an emergency meeting in Dublin organized by R.T.A.I. to deal with the implications of the 4Year Plan and the Budget on our pensions. It was decided after a lengthy discussion that 1. An information leaflet would be sent to each member outlining the implications of the 4Year Plan and the budget on their pensions.
2. All registered political parties would be lobbied through the 3 teacher unions before the spring 2011 General Election to find out their future policies for Public Servant Pensions – this information to be passed on through an information leaflet to all members.
3. The 3 teacher unions to seek legal advice on our pension contracts to see if the government are in breach of contract when they tampered with our pensions
