Áine Kitt minister for older people invited us to Dáil Eireann in May. 35 members with 12 senior members from Oughterard travelled by bus to Dublin. We enjoyed tea/scones at Johnstown House Enfield en route. We had a guided tour of the ESB’s restored Georgian house on Lower Fitzwilliam St. followed by lunch in the Dáil restaurant. We toured the Dáil and Seanad and afterwards Frank Fahy T
.D. took us through the plush surroundings of Government Buildings and treated us to refreshments in the Dáil bar. Eamon O Cuiv, Michael D Higgins, Padraic Mc Cormack, senators Ciaran Cannon and Fidelma Healy Eames took time from their busy schedule to welcome us. Bhí lá iontach againn I dteannta a chéile.
