Today, February 12th, marks the end of a five week computer course for the Galway RTA. The course is designed to meet the needs of the retired teachers so that they can complete their everyday IT tasks with confidence. It’s a hands-on course with a maximum of twelve participants. We are grateful to have the use of a very well equipped computer room in the Galway Education Centre for the course.
The participants, who have attended the courses over the past two years, have gained the confidence to manage their emails, browse websites, to shop on line and book tickets. They also did word processing to meet the needs of participants with writing interests.
I look forward to meeting this present group again in September to help them progress to the next stage.
