We have just completed our course. Brendan Smith introduced us to mapping, translate, skype. gmail attachments, saving images, flickr - on line photo gallery. We will now be able to share our photos on line. Members also had some very old school photos scanned. Some of the schools have closed and others have gone from small rural schools to large urban schools. Brendan has added those priceless memories to his archive.
Brendan, thank you for your encouragement during the course and we look forward to continuing our exploration of the "net" again next year.
I wish on behalf of our members to express a sincere thank you to Bernard Kirk director of the Galway Education Centre and his staff for their warm courteous welcome when we attend classes at the Centre. Thank you to Pat, the caretaker, who supplies us with endless cups of coffee/tea and biscuits.
