After the Mass our secretary Mr Billy Sheehan addressed the meeting assuring members that RTA is in a strong financial position, that there will be an increase in Branch funding from October 2019. Pension Levy PSPR for pre 2012 retirees is in sight. Pension Parity is maintained and retired teachers can expect to see an increase in line with serving teachers’ salaries from 1.10. 2020.


Election of officers

Máire Ní Chuinneagáin was proposed as Secretary by Mary Kyne from 30th of September 2019. She was unanimously seconded by all the members present.
Carmel Niland proposed Padraigín Moylan as treasurer and she was seconded by all members present.

Cathaoirleach Carmel Niland thanked outgoing secretary Mary Kyne for her dedication and commitment to branch affairs during her 11 years in office as Secretary/treasurer. A bouquet of flowers was gratefully accepted by Mary and she wished the newly elected officers the best of luck in the years ahead.

This concluded the business of the meeting and members retired for lunch
