The
RTA Music Group had a very enjoyable occasion recently to launch our
new song-book. We are a group that gets together every Thursday at
1.15 pm for an hour-long relaxed, enjoyable sing-song. The new
song-book will mean we no longer have to search through numerous
photocopied sheets for the words of the songs being sung that week
and of course will cut out much of the need for troublesome
photocopying.

The
committee met many times during the summer to decide on the content
of the book; we wanted to include the nicest of the songs in our
repertoire but also some good new songs. Then came the difficult task
of naming the book. From many suggestions the choice was
Sing Away the Blues as
it seemed to embody the spirit of our weekly get-togethers.
A
few weeks ago we met to launch the song-book and enjoyed a cuppa
provided by the Teachers' Centre and snacks provided by the committee
and of course chat provided by everyone as they admired the new
song-book.
