Riana O Dwyer NUIG gave an inspiring lecture on Yeats and Lady Gregory.1880, 28 year old Augusta Persse from a neighbouring gentry family married Sir William Gregory, who was then 63 . They had one son before William's death in 1892. Lady Gregory became author of plays and collector of folk tales, and was a co-founder of the Abbey Theatre with her friend W.B.Yeats who was a frequent visitor to Coole Park - Lady Gregory's home. Riana gave us an insight into their relationship over the years - very interesting and informative.
