Peadar O Dowd, a native of Galway City and now retired from lecturing at the GMIT, in his recent lecture to the RTA Galway captured for us the wonderful world that is and was Galway.
Through a series of slides and interesting anecdotes he gave us a delightful tour down memory lane into ‘Galway Past and Present’. On September 1st 2010 he has agreed to take our members and their friends on a walking tour of the City and its waterways. Peadar has a great love and sense of his own place. He is a gifted communicator so let’s explore the hidden treasures of the city with him.
