ents frequented by Hemingway in Old Havana. First stop was Reilly’s Pub, the oldest pub 1893, supporting the Irish flag and a huge Celtic poster. In the Floridita Bar we drank Dacqueri cocktails. In Room 511 on the 6th floor with a fantastic view from his
window Hemingway wrote “For Whom the Bell Tolls. He dedicated his 25 books to each of his mistresses. He
was married four times and came here to Havana from time to time.
What Now for Cuba?
Cubans are immensely proud of their country. Life in Cuba is full of contradictions. But what is to happen to this charming country after Fidel Castro’s death? Raúl, Fidel’s brother is in command and he is also chief commander of the army. Raúl is reported to be frail too. Who will lead Cuba in the years ahead? What direction will the new government take?
