A Chairde Dhil,
I am extending an invitation to you to come and participate in a day's fun and laughter on the streets of Oughterard on St Patrick's Day. The parade starts at the Church grounds at one o'clock. It would be wonderful if you could " Dress Up" as it would add colour and excitement to the occasion.
There will be an exhibition of old photos in the VEC Camp St. Local artists are available to do 'Face Painting' for the children. Traditional music will blare forth from all the pubs but if you want to listen to our enchanting music in a calm relaxing atmosphere then visit the Clann Resource Centre, Main St.
Make sure you visit a
ll our craft shops in the centre of the town - you will not be disappointed. The people of Oughterard are a very hospitable people, so you are guaranteed a warm welcome.See you on the street - I will be in disguise!!

We had a great day, lots of excitement, noise, music and dance - a real carnival atmosphere. Our Brian was well received in the White House. The phrase for this year has to be "Is feidir linn."
